Still Photos of Wood Ducks
The Drake shows up on the pond with the hen sometimes. He returned with her this morning after her break.
Setting on the eggs.
Yesterday, it was very warm and she went on her break and left the nest uncovered. Most of the time she covers it with down and wood shavings. Count the eggs.

More nesting wood duck videos
Adjusting feathers
Moving eggs. Turn up your sound and maybe you can hear eggs rattling.
The sun was hitting the nest box and maybe she was letting the eggs cool.

Wood duck on nest
Have not been traveling for awhile, but here are some pictures of our resident wood ducks on our pond. We have a video camera in the the duck house to transmit pictures to us. The hen has been setting on the eggs since about Apr. 1. The incubation period is 27 to 37 days. We will try to get more pictures and hopefully of eggs hatching.
